Amy Hillman
Editor
Amy J. Hillman (Ph.D., Texas A & M University) is the Jerry and Mary Ann Chapman Professor in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Her current research interests include boards of directors, corporate political strategies and how resource-dependence linkages improve firm performance. She is a former Associate Editor of Academy of Management Journal and continues to serve on the editorial board of Strategic Management Journal.. She received AMJ's Outstanding Reviewer Award three times, the BPS Division's Outstanding Reviewer Award eight times and the SIM Division's Outstanding Reviewer Award four times. Before coming to ASU, she was on the faculties of Michigan State University and University of Western Ontario as well as being a guest professor at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. In her free time she and her husband Gerry Keim enjoy hiking, eating out, and their Bernese Mountain Dogs, Newton and Uli. Amy Hillman's e-mail is amy.hillman@asu.edu.
Jean-Philippe Bonardi

Jean-Philippe Bonardi is a Professor at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Lausanne in Switzerland. He received his PhD from HEC School of Management in Paris. His research focuses on the relationships between firms and key stakeholders such as governments, international organizations, the media, interest groups, NGOs or activists. He is particularly interested in how firms can efficiently respond and develop corporate strategies to handle the challenges created by these stakeholders in the present global business environment. His most recent research also attempts to study how the global environment of businesses might be affected in the future by potential changes in the world financial system, central banks' monetary policies, and macroeconomic trends in general. Bonardi's research has been published in leading journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, the Strategic Management Journal, and the Academy of Management Executive.
Mason A. Carpenter Associate Editor Mason A. Carpenter (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin) is the M. Keith Weikel Professor in Leadership at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His research concerns corporate governance, top management teams, the strategic management of global firms, and global start-ups, and is published in the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Management, and Strategic Management Journal. He serves or has served on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Management. He is also co-author, with W. Gerry Sanders, of Strategic Management: A Dynamic Perspective (2e: 2009), published by Pearson/Prentice-Hall. Professor Carpenter resides in Middleton, Wisconsin, with his lovely wife Lisa and wildly active sons Zachary and Wesley.
Adelaide Wilcox King

Adelaide Wilcox King (PhD, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) is an Associate Professor at the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. She specializes in strategic management, with a particular interest in cognition in organizations. Her research on managing under ambiguity and creating value through knowledge-based resources and capabilities has been published in the Academy of Management Review, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of Management, and the Journal of Engineering and Technology Management. She previously served on the Editorial Review Board of the Academy of Management Review and as Senior Associate Dean at the McIntire School. Professor King received a BA from Davidson College and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at UVA. She and her husband, Ruffin, are the parents of middle-school twins, Alexandra and Ruffin.
David Lepak

David Lepak (Ph.D., The Pennsylvania State University, human resource management) is Professor and Department Chairperson of the department of Human Resource Management in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University. His research focuses on the strategic management of human capital as well as managing contingent labor for competitive advantage. He has published numerous articles on these topics in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Human Resource Management Review, Research in Personnel and Human Resource Management, among others. He has served on as associate editor of British Journal of Management and has served, or is serving, on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Human Resource Management, Journal of Management Studies, and International Journal of Learning and Intellectual Capital. He is a member of the executive committee of the HR division of the Academy of Management.
Jeffery A. LePine

Jeffery A. LePine is a professor and the Darden Restaurants Chair in Diversity Management in the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Michigan State University in 1998. His research interests include team composition, teamwork, adaptability, organizational citizenship behavior, voice, and stress. He has published his research on these and other topics in outlets including Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, and Organizational Research Methods. He has served on the editorial boards at Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology. He is a recipient of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychologist's Distinguished Early Career Contributions Award (2004) and the Cummings Scholar Award for Early-Mid Career Research Achievements (2005) sponsored by the Organizational Behavior division of the Academy of Management. He was also elected to the Executive Committee for the Human Resources Management Division of the Academy of Management.
Gerardo Okhuysen

In his research, Professor Okhuysen (University of Utah) primarily works with groups in different decision situations, focusing on the management of task and environmental uncertainty. His work has examined negotiation settings and groups working on ambiguous or uncertain tasks. His current projects examine the role of conflict in groups, definitions of group success, the role of the context in group activities, and how groups respond to surprise. His work has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, The Academy of Management Review, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Organization Science. Professor Okhuysen's teaching focus on Organizational Behavior, Effectiveness of Groups and Teams, and Decision Making. In general, Professor Okhuysen is concerned with improving the skills that individuals need to effectively influence group and organizational functioning. Professor Okhuysen received his Ph.D. from Stanford University.
Roy Suddaby

Roy Suddaby is an associate professor at the Alberta School of Business in the department of Strategic Management and Organization. Professor Suddaby researches organizational change. His primary empirical context is professional service firms and creative industries. His research has been published in Administrative Science Quarterly, the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Accounting, Organizations and Society and Human Relations. Roy serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Studies, Scandinavian Management Journal, the Journal of Management Studies and Business Research. He is the guest editor of special research forums of the Academy of Management Journal and the Academy of Management Review. Professor Suddaby is the recipient of Best Paper awards from the Academy of Management Journal and the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada as well as the Ascendant Scholar award from the Western Academy of Management and Outstanding Reviewer awards from the Academy of Management Review and Academy of Management Journal. He is currently researching corporate art collections. He and his wife Moira enjoy their three fabulous children Toryn, Griffin and Tiegan, two beautiful bulldogs, Cecil and Giles, and one clever cat Ptolemy.
