Coverage in Social Sciences Citation Index

Effective 2000, The Academy of Management Executive is listed in the Social Sciences Citation Index in the management category and in Current Contents/S&BS. As noted on their Web site, the ISI Social Sciences Citation Index and Social SciSearch "provide access to current and retrospective bibliographic information, author abstracts, and cited references found in 1,700 of the world’s leading scholarly social sciences journals covering more than 50 disciplines." The Index can be accessed in hard copy and in electronic form at www.isinet.com.

Anbar 2000 Golden Page Award

Anbar Electronic Intelligence Services, a journal abstracting and indexing division of MCB University Press Ltd. of the U.K., has honored The Executive. AME received the 2000 Golden Page Award for best practical implications in general management, as judged by Anbar’s international accreditation board of prominent management faculty.

Resource for Financial Times Business School Rankings

For the first time, in January 2000, the Financial Times of London selected The Academy of Management Executive as one of five practitioner journals included in its annual ranking of more than 100 business schools internationally. A research rating for each school was based on the number of faculty publications in selected journals from October 1996 to October 1999.

Core Impact on the Management Field

The Executive ranked seventeenth among 65 management journals with respect to core impact on the management field. The study, based on journal citations, was published in Strategic Management Journal, 1999, volume 20.
